Franziska Lakomski

Architect EPFL - Urbanist FSU - Partner Board member | Lausanne | Zürich

Native from Berlin, Franziska Lakomski was fascinated by architecture from an early age.

After completing a CFC as a building draughtswoman and starting her architectural studies in Germany, Franziska Lakomski came to Switzerland in 1997 to obtain her architectural diploma at the EPFL in 2002.

Since her internship at the office CCHE Architecture SA, she has been active in the development of architectural competitions, school buildings and housing.

Fascinated by the city, human relations and the interaction of buildings with their environmental context, Franziska Lakomski is brought more and more to the large scale.

In 2010, she created the urban planning sector within the CCHE office. As a partner, she develops residential and business districts, from design to legalization by land use plan.

Resolutely urban and a keen sailor and diver, Franziska Lakomski lives with her partner near Lausanne.

The first prizes in the "Plus qu'un ilôt" competition in Bussigny (VD) and "Côté rue, côté jardin" in Ambilly (GE) were convincing for their urban and sustainable approach: fine integration into the existing fabric, creation of meeting places, ensuring intergenerational and functional mixing and the integration of nature into urban districts.

The realization of "Petit Mont-Riond" represents all our values for the design of a pleasant living environment. The collective housing with a dominant community focus, the welcoming opening on the courtyard and the generous garden. Read the editorial of the magazine Tracé 12/2015

Walking in the footsteps of the past, discovering new places, meeting each other here or elsewhere, is for me the inspiration and fascination of every day.
