Conversion and renovation of a historic hotel in the heart of Saint-Ursanne

21.06.2023 · News

Nestling in the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Ursanne, the 16th-century building housing the Hôtel de la Cigogne is being brought back to life. This transformation, inspired by the world of the cloister located opposite, means completely rethinking the building while preserving its structure. The work includes a complete renovation of the interior surfaces and the installation of a new roof structure.

The transformation of a historic building is a discipline that requires the project to be approached with its own distinct rules. By listening to and respecting the existing building, we can preserve the heritage while maximising the potential of the new project.

Through our many years’ experience, our architects and works managers have developed a wealth of knowledge around construction from different eras, enabling them to not only anticipate unforeseen circumstances but also engage in dialogue and make progress with the authorities to finalise projects that combine architectural quality with contractual guarantees.
