Revealing the architecture of J. Tschumi and P. Bonnard
The building, built by the architects J. Tschumi and P. Bonnard in 1960 (classified as Note 2) was completely cleared to reveal the structure. The architectural qualities of the building were maintained and enhanced without, however, making concessions to the conditions of comfort and operation required by the needs of users.
The transformation, carried out to accommodate the headquarters of Debiopharm, was designed with respect to the architecture of the designers. The facade was redone in the image of the existing building while ensuring better energy performance. The introduction of a false floor to provide high quality administrative surfaces and a global redesign of the techniques have enabled this building to come back to the forefront to offer mobility and versatility without strongly intervening on the architectural aspect.
The work on the atmosphere of the spaces consisted of evoking the 1960s by using modern products. On the ground floor, the provision of natural light was improved with the creation of transparencies and circulations.
