Le Temps highlights the transformation of the Acacias neighbourhood

18.03.2026 · Press reviews

In a recent article, Le Temps illustrates how expectations regarding housing have evolved through the “Aux Acacias” project in Geneva. Built in the 1960s, this development no longer met current standards, particularly in terms of energy efficiency, apartment typologies and soft mobility.

Completely redesigned, the 2026 version of this development now offers 320 apartments, ranging from studios to six-room apartments, as well as 16 clusters designed for students, promoting a shared lifestyle. The focus is on residents’ comfort, with optimised floor plans and a particular emphasis on sustainable mobility.

Architecturally, the façades are distinguished by unique ceramic bands created for this project by the winning architectural firms, CCHE and Magizan.
