Final Permit Granted for the Future Plantassage Neighborhood

10.09.2025 · News

In Sierre, the new Plantassage neighborhood is set to become a vibrant, mixed-use community designed to meet the current and future needs of its residents. The project includes the construction of seven buildings with 99 homes, 29 of which are designated for seniors, as well as a multidisciplinary health center, a pharmacy, and a daycare facility.

Designed to enhance quality of life, foster social diversity, and ensure harmonious landscape integration, the neighborhood is anchored in its environment by two stone bases inspired by the surrounding vineyards. These commercial volumes bring vitality to Rue du Plantassage, while the pentagonal residential buildings offer a variety of orientations, abundant natural light, and open views.

In close collaboration with the client, BRICKS AG, CCHE has guided the Plantassage development through every stage:

- Urban planning studies and the creation of the Detailed Development Plan (PAD) in constant dialogue with the City of Sierre.

- Securing the building permit in July 2024.

- Managing the execution project.

This comprehensive scope of work highlights CCHE's ability to lead large-scale projects from initial vision to final realization.

The development of the Detailed Development Plan (PAD), carried out in constant dialogue with the City of Sierre and the project owner, is the result of in-depth reflection on how to enhance this building zone, improving the quality of life for residents and the entire district. It has three objectives: to strengthen urban coherence and improve the quality of an area in search of identity and dynamism, to create an attractive and friendly neighbourhood adapted to the needs of all, and to innovate in the field of health through flexible, diversified services that complement the existing offering.

The outdoor facilities, designed by the CCHE team of landscape architects, complement the overall approach and reinforce the neighbourhood's identity.

Now supported by the CPVAL – Caisse de prévoyance de l'État du Valais (Valais State Pension Fund), the project will enter the construction phase in autumn 2025.
