On Tuesday 27 September, the 11th ceremony of the Prix de l'immobilier romand 2022, presented by Bilan magazine and SVIT Romandie, was held to reward remarkable real estate projects in French-speaking Switzerland. Two CCHE projects reached the top of the podium in their category.
1st prize in the "Interior design" category
The transformation of the Brasserie Le Vaudois in Lausanne involved the renovation of the façade, the restructuring of the interior spaces and a complete change of the HVAC installations. All of this was done to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional brasserie, inspired by the era of the existing building.
The jury particularly appreciated the fact that, in the course of the transformation and modernisation, the establishment has retained all its authenticity, as well as the creation of large, high windows that allow an unobstructed view of the Riponne and, above all, of the cathedral, and that bring natural light into the restaurant.
1st prize in the "Jury's Favourite 2022" category
The establishment of about fifty rooms and suites was developed in collaboration by the offices BIG, CCHE and AUM. The Z-shaped building has 5 ramps and is fully integrated into the hilly landscape of the Vallée de Joux. It is heated with wood and made of raw materials such as stone and wood from the region, and has an interior promenade linking the rooms, lobby, restaurants, spa and seminar rooms.
The jury noted the dazzling spectacle of the structure made of slabs that juts out into the valley, as well as the choice of materials and the careful execution of the volumetric connections.
