Construction of a building of 4 apartments in Begnins with beautiful open views of the lake and the Alps
Located on a steeply sloping plot facing due south at the entrance to Begnins, the building opens onto the valley, the lake and the Alps. The 4 luxury apartments are organized in such a way as to make the most of the light and the distant views, with an entirely south-facing glazed façade and generous exterior spaces that extend the interior living spaces.
The sober volumetry, the horizontal lines of its architecture and the contemporary materials used on the facade (metal cladding) underline a desire to create vast and uncluttered spaces, generous in light and open to the panoramic landscape. The light volume made entirely of metal and glass rests on a wider concrete base which is embedded in the slope and thus anchors itself in its existing environment.
The entrance below through the semi-buried underground car park creates a natural filter, both phonic and visual, between the living spaces and the Burtigny road that runs alongside the project.
