Located in the industrial and commercial area of En Chamard in Montagny, the site has been developed in three stages.
The first stage includes an administrative building and a semi-buried parking lot built in 1990.
Within the framework of stages 2 and 3, initiated respectively in 2016 and 2018, CCHE must provide an answer to the strong demand for medical and paramedical surfaces in the North Vaud region with a linear building built on the existing parking lot (Montagny I) and a third building intended to accommodate the medical pole of the Yverdon agglomeration (Montagny II). Located near the Yverdon West motorway exit, in the En Chamard industrial and commercial zone in the municipality of Montagny, the 4-storey administrative building is devoted to medical and paramedical practices. Built on the car park of the existing building, this new construction constitutes the first stage of the expansion of the site, developed in the early 1990s.
Two vertical corridors serve the different floors. The main stairwell with its two lifts is internal, while the external stairwell with its lift is connected to the building by footbridges. It will also connect to the building of the second stage by extending the footbridges.
The floors, with a surface area of 1'100 to 1'400 m2, can accommodate up to 4 tenants per floor.
The main entrance is located to the north of the building, connecting to the access road to the En Chamard district. This access is through and connects the building to the central courtyard which allows access to the entrances of the existing building and the future building of stage 2.
The building is in the form of an 85 metre long bar, with a façade that offers multiple readings thanks to the variation of the random "barcode" theme. The play of colours of the glass slats in varying shades of blue, arranged randomly and perpendicularly to the façade, give depth and animation to the façade through their reflection on the grey anodised sheets. Depending on the point of view, the façade can vary from the grey of the aluminium to the dark blue of the glass slats. The ventilation openings are hidden behind perforated aluminium sheets in the form of a barcode.
Despite the reinforcement of the existing parking structure, the floor slabs had to be lightened with a Cobiax system.
This new 4-storey administration building is the second and final expansion stage on the plot, comprising an existing building built in the early 1990s and the first expansion built in 2016.
As in stage 1, the ground was reinforced with 74 piles and the floor slabs were lightened with a Cobiax system. In the basement, a new car park, connected to that of the existing building, offers 23 spaces. A storage area completes the one built in the first stage.
Each floor has a surface area of 750 m2 and can accommodate up to 4 tenants. The central vertical circulation consists of a stairwell and two lifts.
The floors of buildings 1 and 2 are connected by walkways. The main entrance is located to the east of the building, connecting to the central courtyard.
It is the only single building on the site and has the form of a cube. The construction of the façade in anodised aluminium is reminiscent of the façade of the first stage with the design of the perforated sheets, but the building retains its own identity. The facade is differentiated by the order of its composition and the removal of the blue coloured glass panels. The windows behind the perforated sheets are powder-coated in blue and subtly recall the blue of the façade of the first stage. The intensity of the blue colour behind the windows varies according to the light conditions outside.
