The renovation of Brasserie Lipp is part of a comprehensive approach to restoring this landmark venue to its original splendour while meeting contemporary requirements. The works encompass all operational and guest areas, including the office, dining rooms, professional kitchen, staff changing rooms, cold rooms and wine cellar.
Initially prompted by the replacement of the floor finishes, the project developed into an extensive refurbishment that brought the building services up to current standards, particularly in terms of fire safety and energy efficiency. The kitchen was completely redesigned and equipped to meet today’s operational requirements, while the storage areas were optimised to improve workflows and working conditions. Particular care was taken to preserve and enhance the venue’s heritage character. Working with specialist craftspeople made it possible to restore decorative elements such as ceramic tiles, light fittings and stonework faithfully. Delivered within a tightly managed timeframe to minimise disruption to operations, the project has given the brasserie a new lease of life, combining tradition with modernity.
‘Here’s to the springs ahead’
Alongside the renovation of the premises, we supported the brasserie in developing messages and visuals for its guests, communicated before, during and after the works.
Inspired by the personalities and entertaining anecdotes of the team, we developed a range of graphic materials—including printed matter, site banners and a pop-up web page—each featuring a member of staff and a quote addressed to guests. Together, they capture the distinctive spirit of Brasserie Lipp: ‘Every dish tells a story; every guest adds to ours.’ A. Gétaz, Director of Brasserie Lipp

Thanks to close coordination between the contractors and efficient site organisation, the works were completed in record time. This enabled Brasserie Lipp to reopen quickly without compromising the quality of execution.
