An engineering challenge, Malley Phare defies gravity
The 14-storey timber-framed tower currently being built on the west wing of the Malley Lumières shopping centre is attracting attention and sparking curiosity. This impressive elevation doesn’t rest on the foundations of the existing building. Instead, this technical feat is made possible by the lightness of wood. The architects and engineers at Malley Phare have really succeeded in combining materials to get the very best out of them.
