Definitely Different Group has inaugurated its new hotel Peanut Medieval Lodge in St-Ursanne. Nestled in the heart of the "Pearl of the Jura", the Hotel du Bœuf has been completely renovated by CCHE with a project that revisits the codes of the medieval world. Combining marked styles with great simplicity of intervention, the renovation of the building is part of a local approach with exclusively Jura companies. Its development and completion over a period of 6 months required the investment and dedication of all the teams.
Between interior design and scenography, the Peanut Medieval Lodge offers an immersive experience based on natural materials, light and sound effects, colours and wallpapers, all treated in an offbeat tone. The existing architecture, characterised by beams and woodwork, is highlighted by a play of colours and wallpapers. The signage project preserves the essence of the facade, highlighting the spaces with black metal panels that take up the theme of cast iron, a rustic material typical of the medieval period.
The rooms offer a universe that is either merchant or wanderer, where the traveller enters into the shoes of two characters representative of the medieval world. The use of noble materials (velvet and gilding) and authentic materials (cork, burnt wood and copper) reflect the different stages of an epic journey in this medieval world.
