The Bilan de l'Immobilier awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday 28 September, honoured the best real estate projects delivered in French-speaking Switzerland over the last 18 months. Among the many high-quality entries, three CCHE projects were praised by the jury and took a place on the podium in the categories of public works, urban regeneration and exceptional works.
The transformation of the Pasta Gala building in Morges for the company Incyte took first place on the podium in its category. The jury particularly praised the finesse of this transformation and this prize rewards the commitment of the teams who worked on the interior transformation of the building's approximately 10,000 m2 surface area, with a project that preserves the industrial memory of the site and favours clarity and transparency.
1er prix catégorie « Régénération urbaine »
The building that housed the Pastagala factory in Morges was transformed into an administrative building and fitted out to house the European headquarters of Incyte Biosciences International.
CCHE, in charge of the interior transformation of the approximately 10,000 m2 of surface area, has developed a project that preserves the industrial memory of the site and favours clarity and transparency. This project is part of the transformation of the building's shell and the site carried out jointly by Tribu Architecture and CCHE.
This project is deeply linked to the development of the whole district annexed to the Morges station.
2nd prize in the "Public Works" category
The Grand Morillon residence houses the students of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies - IHEID. The complex, designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, comprises two bars facing each other and favours clean lines and architectural choices that enhance the community dimension of the residence.
As a local partner, CCHE brought its knowledge of Swiss construction procedures and standards to bear in transposing Kuma's concept into a functional building that meets both the needs of the client and the rules and standards in force.
2nd prize in the "Outstanding works" category
The transformation of this historic building, classified as a Note 2, restores the lost splendour of a luxury mansion nestled in a historic garden. One of the challenges of the project was the ability to improve the quality of the interior spaces and circulation by favouring light and views to the outside, without altering the historic façades and the English garden. An underground extension has made it possible to add a spa and an indoor swimming pool to the residential programme.
