Coop wants to take advantage of the current and future surrounding buildings to improve the attractiveness and efficiency of the Coop Léman Centre shopping centre. As part of the improvement of its property portfolio, Coop Société Coopérative is planning to restructure the centre and renovate the thermal envelope and technical installations. The centre will remain in operation during the entire duration of the works.
The project will pay particular attention to environmental quality, social equity and economic efficiency, the three pillars of sustainable development.
The Coop Léman Centre Crissier shopping centre is located in the heart of Western Lausanne, a district in full transition. The renovation of the building aims to anchor the centre in the ecological, economic and social transformation of the agglomeration. The vegetation on the site has been rethought and made denser in order to create a springboard biotope that resonates with the surrounding forests as well as the various vegetation pockets that will be created as the various sites in the district are transformed/upgraded.
This renovation is an opportunity for the centre to get a new look! Both to embellish the image of the centre in its environment and to review the energy performance of the building. The revision of the building's techniques and envelope aims to improve the comfort of the Coop Léman Centre's employees and clients. The façade allows the building to be identified in its environment and the signage is being reworked to be attractive and adapted to the multiple flows.
The project anticipates its future position as a multimodal crossroads linked to the arrival of the tram as well as the densification of the cycle paths by creating a new entrance to the south and by upgrading the existing entrance to the north of the building. A large and varied range of bicycle parking spaces will thus be offered to customers.

With the creation of this new southern entrance, the entire customer journey through the centre has been redesigned. The mall linking the north and south entrances allows for a fluid flow of traffic, giving a view of the entire centre's offer. This redesign of the mall eliminates the existing dead zones and gives all tenants good visibility of their shops from the circulation area. The travelators have been moved to the centre of the building, allowing easy access to the three levels.
Above the vertical circulation a large glass roof allows daylight to penetrate to the basement. The restaurant area is a pleasant social hub, benefiting from natural light. The treatment of the interior corresponds to the values of sustainability, nature, warmth, humanity, practicality, simplicity and quality promoted by the COOP.

This update of the building is accompanied by a technological development with the creation of a BIM for FM model that will allow the on-site facility manager to follow the daily life of his building. All of this is to ensure better use and greater sustainability of the building as a whole.

Our multidisciplinary teams set up the concept to show and explain the interior design and then complete it with the proposals for the exterior design. The work of illustrating and developing different variants to make videos with the twinmotion software.
Based on a model via Archicad and a well-informed BIM model, our computer graphics experts worked on the animation and applied different textures. In the end, our teams proposed a tailor-made product immersed in the project for the client.
