The complete renovation of the 5 buildings that make up the Cité Carl-Vogt has been successfully completed by CCHE and MSV architects. Dating from the 1960s, these Honegger buildings house 445 flats in five eight-storey buildings, and were in need of extensive renovation, particularly in terms of energy efficiency.
A real architectural challenge, the renovation project had to reconcile heritage preservation with energy improvements, and included installing new insulation for the roof, façade, and basement ceiling, renovating the windows, installing solar panels and redesigning the exterior spaces.
All the HVACSE techniques were renewed, requiring major work to be carried out in the homes.
This large-scale project was carried out over five years on an occupied site by the CCHE works management team.
