The Pont-Rouge school construction project in Lancy has just reached an important milestone: the completionof the structural work was celebrated with a ceremony.. This meeting, which brought together municipal and cantonal authorities as well as the various stakeholders, was an opportunity to thank the companies that contributed to this construction phase.
Situated between two contrasting contexts, urban and landscape, mineral and vegetation, the new Adélaïde Sara Pictet-de-Rochemont School is designed to be an entity set in a park, working in perfect harmony with the Town Hall. This major public space will become the beating heart of a packed district linked to the other areas of Lancy. The project’s main objective is to transform the park into a school and the school into a "learning park" where nature and culture come together in a close and innovative environment.
The building will comply with the very high energy performance standard (VHEP) with increased energy performance, as showcased by the installation of solar panels on the roof or the connection to district heating. Low-carbon materials, recycled concrete and wood have also been used in the structural phase.
